Membership is open to individuals and organisations interested in developing cooperatives. By joining Cooperation Africa members will gain:

Access to:

• Resources and databases on legislation
• Examples of different cooperative models
• Films about cooperatives on the internet
• Books, documents, and reports about cooperatives from around the world

Opportunities to:

• Participate in members-only events such as: film club, book club, cooperative touring club, and study circles.
• Be supported to start your own cooperative business be it in the primary, agricultural, manufacturing or service sectors.
• Conduct research into cooperative formation and development in Africa, in partnership with other members of the network.
• Invest in country-level cooperative financing and development institutions.
• Educate and train others seeking to form or develop cooperatives across the continent.
• Provide professional services to cooperative businesses and the wider cooperative development movement.
• Promote economic justice by helping to build sustainable livelihoods through democratically owned and managed cooperatives.

Membership Rules for Organisational Membership of CA: 

1. Eligibility: Any registered business/organisation that is willing to adhere to and promote the objectives of CA.  It does not have to be a cooperative.
2. Fees:  based on income.
